Hi, I’m Abiramee — the heart and hands behind ARK Designs Studio.

I moved to Canada in January 2018, carrying big dreams and a lifelong love for creating. Creativity has always been part of who I am. Growing up, I always had a table filled with craft supplies and little projects on the go. Making things has always felt like home to me.

During my first maternity leave, I completed my Early Childhood Education diploma, and on my second maternity leave, ARK Designs was born. Today, I work as an early childhood educator by day, and once my girls are tucked into bed, I step into my role as a small business owner — designing, creating, and handmaking each piece with care.

Becoming a mom changed everything in the most beautiful way, but it also meant giving so much of myself to others. This business became my creative freedom — a space that is just mine, where I can reconnect with the part of myself that loves to imagine, design, and make.

There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing someone fall in love with something I’ve handmade or a design I’ve created or carefully chosen. Meeting customers at markets, chatting, connecting, and sharing the story behind my work brings me so much joy. Every purchase, every kind word, and every smile reminds me why I started.
